Volunteer Policy
Clover Hill Hurricanes Volunteer Agreement:
Frederick Summer Swim League swim teams are run by parent
volunteers. By registering your child(ren), you are agreeing to volunteer
throughout the Clover Hill Hurricane season. Each family is
required to commit to a minimum of 8 hours of volunteer time for the swim season. This can include time volunteering at meets and
social functions. Volunteer hours will be tracked throughout the season
through the team website. It is critical families ensure they have
received credit for their hours worked.
At the end of the season, families who have gone beyond the minimum requirement
will be entered into a raffle to win a variety of prizes. The credit
cards of families who do not meet this requirement will be charged a pro-rated
volunteer fee at the end of the season.
0 volunteer hours = $160 charge
2 volunteer hours - $120 charge
4 volunteer hours - $80 charge
6 volunteer hours - $40 charge
8 volunteer hours - No CHARGE!!
Volunteering throughout the season is critical to a successful season. On
the CHH website you will see an Events tab. When clicking that tab, each swim
meet is listed with two options: one to register for the meet and the
other to select a volunteer assignment. When you select the "Jobs
Sign Up" button, you will see a list of all available jobs. If you
are interested in a specific job or time, make sure to register early.
Once the job slot is filled, you cannot sign up for it.
At the end of the season, we will notify families who have not met their
volunteer hours.
For those swimmers qualifying for and attending the FSSL All Star Meet, each
family must provide one volunteer for their swimmer to be eligible to compete
in this meet. This meet does not count toward the 8 hour team minimum.

agreement
